I have been attending Rachel’s classes through Discover You for the past year. In addition to being a very knowledgable & attentive instructor, Rachel is extremely encouraging and friendly, fostering a positive, inclusive environment in each of her classes. Through Rachel's Strength 101 courses, I have improved my form and increased my strength and confidence with weight training. The Discover You community is full of amazing women who always put a smile on my face each time I come to class!

"Rachel is one of the most genuine, authentic, and kind people I know. I remember when I came to her first Zumba class at U of T and left it feeling amazing. Rachel made the class so much fun by being enthusiastic, encouraging, and always smiling. Since that first class I have been to most of Rachel's other classes and events including, bootcamps, Nike training classes, Barreworks classes, panel discussions, and every Fully Fearless event. Rachel makes everyone feel welcome in her classes regardless of their fitness level and her positive attitude is infectious. She always offers modifications and encouraging words. Something I truly admire about Rachel is that she is so real. She stays true to what she believes in and her brand reflects that. Over the years of attending Rachel's classes, she has become not only a trainer that I trust, but also a friend."

“When I started training with Rachel, I was very nervous and uncomfortable exercising and being in the gym. From our first session she immediately made me feel at ease and gave me confidence in what I was doing. She has such a positive attitude that you can’t help but feel good! I have been attending different workshops with Rachel with the Discover You community and they all make an impact on my daily life. I have been inspired meeting and listening to other women talk about their struggles and successes. I would recommend anyone to attend!”

"These evenings were so wonderful as they brought together a group of women to share in a way that was quite unique. It was definitely not something in my everyday experience and it was so enjoyable, educational and valuable. It gave me many new ideas and some different ways of thinking to apply to my own unique life. Way to go! Thank you so much! I look forward to attending again in the future."

"Rachel has been working with me as my personal trainer and I highly recommend her. Although exercise and movement is part of my daily routine, I have never had any formal, structured exercise training. I decided to work with Rachel because I wanted to build a solid foundation of how to move safely and effectively to build strength and discover new ways to exercise. I also wanted someone to show me how to navigate safely through the ‘fancy and intimidating’ gym equipment in my condo. She is incredibly knowledgeable and able to explain the exercises and movements with precision and skill. She has been methodical in the progression of teaching me how to move my body through the various exercises. She has developed tailor-made routines and circuits for me. Along the way, she has taught me how to use some of the gym equipment to enhance my progression and enjoyment. Rachel is very conscientious about checking in with me at every step of the way to make sure that I understand and can replicate the correct form in order to exercise safely and effectively on my own. I find her positivity, sense of humour and gentle feedback to be very effective teaching tools. Rachel is a professional: always on time; an effective communicator and flexible with scheduling; all of which I appreciate. With Rachel as my trainer, I am discovering new ways to exercise and build strength. I have learned to exercise with intention and be conscious of how my body is moving and feeling. I have learned to enjoy and find calm in the process…thanks Rachel!"

"I had a wonderful evening at the Discover You panel discussion on Relationship with Food this evening downtown Toronto. Thank you to @erinhasnever for going with me, to @rachelfackoury for organizing the event, and to the amazing panelists @jamiesnow @shauna.m.nutrition @sarahbnutrition for sharing their personal stories. My biggest take away was that there is physical health food and mental health food and that we need both. This is something I've been struggling with for a while and trying to tell myself that food is fuel and I shouldn't have food as a celebration or because I just feel like it. When I heard that tonight it was like a light bulb went off in my brain and I realized that I've been thinking about it all wrong. Food is fuel but food is also necessary for our mental health and I'm going to try to consider that more often, give myself a break, and try to focus on WHY I'm eating what I am and if it's really what I need/want at that moment. I would also like to point out how beautiful and fitting the artwork was.
In addition, I would just like to say how much I enjoy every one of your events. You know how to bring people together in a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment. Whether it’s a panel discussion or a Pilates class, I get the same vibe every time! Even when I attend alone I know that I will be coming to a place where there are so many like-minded, friendly individuals that I can get to know. I truly believe in your mission and love supporting everything that you do! I can’t wait to see what you have in store for the future!"
